docHarbor® Announces Support for Web Services

San Diego, California -January 24, 2006 - docHarbor, a division of Anacomp, Inc., announces support for web services, enabling docHarbor Online to fit within a customer's Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA).

In keeping with docHarbor's robust and open integration strategy, docHarbor announces support for web services from within our application programming interface (API) toolkit. This will allow our customers and partners to build interfaces based on this increasingly popular connection technology, using technologies such as XML and SOAP (Simple Object Access Protocol). With web services, customers can build applications involving simple data passing or two or more services coordinating some activity.

The docHarbor web services technology allows documents and their associated metadata information to be stored and retrieved securely in the docHarbor Online repository yet accessible in a consistent format from within any customer's application environment or service-oriented architecture. Existing applications simply call upon a docHarbor https-based web resource to automatically search and display a set of documents. This interface allows a customer to build applications that can access our repository without having to use any particular programming language or any particular programming data models.
