The XFP2000 features a comprehensive selection of film processing formats and methods, including microfiche and roll film, wet and dry processing, and online and off-line operation.

The XFP2000 imaging platform is driven by a software package consisting of Anacomp's Output Management Software (OMS), which manages the system, as well as a variety of optional applications, such as AFP/COM, XCF and the Image Output Option. The OMS defines the unique operational characteristics that make the XFP2000 the most advanced imaging system in the world.

Image Direct 2.6 is a Windows-based client server application that enables the creation of an Integrated Data Stream (IDS) that combines bitmapped images (TIFF Group IV) with text and index information. With Image Direct, you can easily check the validity of bitmaps on the fly and scale them while maintaining the correct aspect ratio. Image quality is maintained with resolution values of 120 dots per inch (dpi) 240 dpi and 300 dpi. Reduction ratios run at 24X, 42X, 48X and 72X. The resulting IDS is automatically sent to the XFP2000 via the LAN.

Image Direct provides state-of-the-art client server capability, using industry standard workstations, to take your scanned or encoded data (bitmaps) from your network to the XFP2000, using either 105mm or 16mm film formats as required. Image Direct runs under both Windows®NT 4.0 SP6, Windows®2000 Professional and Windows XP.
