Annotation and Coding Features

Annotation Features

  • Anchored Notes (Highlighting) Capability: Users can now highlight regions to place notes without requiring they purchase a full version of Adobe Acrobat. The highlights and notes are stored in the document store, not in the PDF document itself making it more secure and easier to produce the original documents without mark ups.
  • Copy as Text, Copy as Image: A rectangular region can be selected and the underlying text (if the document has text, i.e., OCR'd) can be copied to the Windows clipboard for transferring information to document fields or other applications. The same region can be copied as an image to preserve the original appearance.
  • Document Redaction: Users with the appropriate rights can mark rectangular regions for redaction. The regions remain visible until they are published where they can be "burned in" to the resulting document images. The originals are not altered.
  • Notes Send To Menu: You can now right click on a note to send it to the same places (email, desktop) as you can for documents.
  • Notes Spell Checking: User notes can be spell checked to reduce typos and grammatical errors.

Coding Features

  • MetaData Extraction: CaseLogistix will extract all metadata from your documents into fields in CaseLogistix.
  • Document Coding Editors: Editors allow users to code the fields relevant to each document. Each folder and user can be presented with appropriate editor/s that are built using the Library Designer. Also, efficient coding of documents is facilitated by presenting relevant fields to the user with tools such as custom look up lists, masking, and auto complete to assist in normalizing the document data.
  • Bates Analyzer: Tell the Bates Analyzer how your bates numbers are specified in your library and which group of documents to analyze. The Bates Analyzer will then analyze all of the specified documents and return a report specifying bates number gaps (missing), bates number overlaps (bates number appears in multiple documents), and invalid bates ranges.
  • Find and Replace: CaseLogistix allows you to quickly find and replace text in your document data.
  • Editor Spell Checking: Data values can be spell checked to reduce typos and grammatical errors.
  • Unlimited Document Fields: Each CaseLogistix Document Library supports an unlimited number of named fields to describe the document. Document fields can be defined to contain a certain type of data (e.g., numeric, date, text, etc.) as well as format enforcement and lookup list creation.
  • Multi-Value Field Support: CaseLogistix allows storage of multiple authors, e.g., in a single field, and allows them to be searched and organized as if they were individual values. Intellifolders based on multivalve fields will create subfolders for each new value coded. Unlimited custom multi-value fields are supported.
