Reviewing/Tagging/Tabbing Documents
- Document Viewer: CaseLogistix has its own integrated document viewer that can open and display a variety of document formats including tiff/pdf/email/native/transcript files. The viewer can display document text search hit highlights. Using our viewer, the user can highlight text areas and create a new note that includes the highlighted, anchored text. The viewer has standard tools for searching, navigating, rotating, zooming, printing, saving and sending via email.
- Support for PDF with separate OCR Text File: CaseLogistix first checks to see if an existing OCR text file accompanies the PDF. If one exists, it will display that file in the split screen viewer instead of extracted OCR.
- Endorse Document Without IndyGo: Right click on a document in the document list and choose "Endorse". You can bates stamp the document, for example, and either replace the document with the endorsed copy, or add the endorsed copy as a new attachment to the original document.
- Read/Unread Indicator: The documents you have read or not read are displayed in the same way as your favorite email application.
- Side-by-Side Tiff Viewer: The Document Viewer will display Tiff images side by side with associated OCR text. Search hit highlights are made in the OCR text.
- Native File Annotation and Endorsement: CaseLogistix users can annotate and redact native files such as Word AutoCad and Excel, provided that either the native application, or a native viewing application such as QuickViewPlus is installed on the system.
- Tabs - Users can create custom folders called Tabs which they can use to store related documents they have found during the discovery process and want to group for uses such as publication or further viewing; Tabs can be private, meaning only the user creating the tab can see the tab, or public, which allows the Tab to be seen by all users in the user workgroup Examples of tabs might be "relevant", "responsive", or "need to read".
- Tabs Window: Users can view tabs in checkbox format next to the document viewer so they can quickly tag documents into the appropriate tabs by just clicking the checkbox associated with the tab (ie responsive/nonresponsive)
- Auto-Tabs: CaseLogistix has a series of Tab Folders containing automatically generated lists of documents such as Documents added this week, Documented Edited today, Documents Viewed This Month, etc.
